Guitar Center used site

I hope he likes sitting on it for awhile because I have 20 instruments on reverb they dont exactly fly off the shelf unless you want to take a bath on it.

No those bodies are basswood, there pretty soft woods so realistically not have the thick paint on it these came with is a major downside as the paint protected the soft wood from dinging. The wood is also really bland looking for a trans finish.

I like (and play) light basses, and that seemed on the porky side to me. As The Big G opined, it was a nice refin..if that's what it is, as no one has seen that finish. The crime of it is that whoever pulled the frets really screwed up. I think this guy got caught up in the "if it's 80's MIJ, it's good" thing. This one isn't.

If you use the site to buy CALL THE STORE immediately after.

No, call them BEFORE you buy it. I have always gotten a discount or at least gotten some strings thrown in.
I always ask for a Veteran's discount & most of the time I get it.

Return Policy

According to this, it's now 45 days?

45 only applies to new gear.

I bet the employee knew it was sold but wanted the commission so he sold and blamed it on a computer glitch.

As I'm digging deeper into this new web ordering BS, it turns out that after you place the order online the store is not even notified of a purchase until a few days later when everything completely clears, during that time no one else can buy it online but anyone can call the store or walk in and buy it. Apparently that's where my Meatball went. It's a shame I can't curse on this website since that leaves me literally no words once again to express this.

Sounds about right. Hopefully the eventual musiciansfriend retail stores that take over will do a better job.

I saw some article recently on the eventual collapse of GC, same thing as last year, they reshuffled their massive debts and have bought a little more time, but the prognosis is that they end up selling the name to somebody and cleaning house at some point, which may be fun for all of us. Anyway, since you mentioned commission, apparently the rate dropped from something like 2.5% to something like 0.4% this year so commission isn't too much of a force anymore.

I keep hearing about them going under for years now but nothing. Idk if I am evil but I am looking forward to that day.
