Today I went to check on the shipping for the SR1405e and the status showed 'Backordered.'
I was confused about this so I called customer service. GC Rep Dolphus informed me that the item was sold in-store before I bought it online. (Or maybe not before since it didn't show backordered until today. But I digress...) So I'm a little bummed. But one thing my dad taught me is that there's always something out there. There will always be another deal. So I'm still looking!

I always call the store before I place the order, first to ask for a discount, second to ask for some strings thrown in, and most importantly to make sure they know I'm ordering it & to keep it off the sales floor
Call me crazy, but this appears to be a 96-98 SR5005, which was like TIP-TOP of the Ibby lineup then.

I do that too but so far 0% success with discounts or strings over the phone, my local CG is good at trowing in a set of strings but no discount on used gear unless its seating there for at least 45 days.
