I have one of each. I debated between the two. I originally planned to get the Mesa 800+, but found a better deal on the Magellan. Plus, I've always loved the Genz-Benz products. But eventually, I bought the Mesa also.
They're both excellent amps. I'll play one at home for several months, then switch to the other for a few months. I always enjoy both when I switch over. If somebody put a gun to my head and said "You can only keep one", I'd probably go with the Mesa. But they're both really nice.
The Magellan struck me as an incredibly thoughtful design with great execution-but seemed just a little polite for my preferences.
The Mesa is in the same vein as my preferred GK amps; quick and clear - a little more controlled at the top and bottom, but still very rock and roll.
Plus, the Mesa is just VERY intuitive to me - if I want to hear something differently, each knob and switch does exactly what I expect it to.
Not a bad deal for a Lakland DJ4, looks like it has Bartolini pickups ($899)

I returned it because it's not very practical as a combo amp. There were 6 of these made, ever. They have it listed incorrectly, even after I wrote down the model for them when I returned it. This is a CVL-110. The head is removable and the power section was made by Ashdown.

In case anybody is looking for a good deal with great price on a Sterling Ray34, I just returned this one to GC Orlando. The bass is excellent.

This is the newer Burl Top model with roasted neck, however the burl doesn't show much. The bass has very few marks, the neck is great.
I just returned it because after 40 days since I bought it, I found (also from GC) a USA SUB in great shape.
It looks way better than in the pictures, I actually gave it a full cleanup and setup, I had flats on it but returned with the DR neon strings that came with.
It also comes with a MM hard shell case also in great shape.
Don't think too long, I am sure it won't last. Also posting on the Sterling thread.

That is a super cool find! I wish a lot I had any use for an amp.
I honestly hated to return it. It's just not practical as a combo. It's not very mobile.

I had it in my cart, but then remembered that I convinced myself that I'm not buying any gear for the time being...
If one can either get beyond the fact that someone put "cheat sheet" knob descriptions next to each of the knobs and switches on this NS CR5, it is a great deal at $1570. (I have not seen this bass in person, but maybe some light solvent will do the trick and remove the markings without harming the wood.)

I’ve bought 5 Jazz basses from GC in the past 15 years. All used and I had shipped into local store. Upon receipt, I went over and checked them out, they were as I was told so I left with them. Only once did I get a Jazz shipped in and was not satisfied with it. So easy refund and ……

I'm posting this 4x10 cab because I have one (actually two, a straight and a slant like this one), and they're great cabs. They're not neo, somewhat sizable, 78-lbs, 500 watts.
These are the Fender Pro series, the speakers being noticeably farther apart than the lesser Fender models.
These will go well north of $500 in great shape. This is $250.
If this is just cosmetically rough, it might be a good opportunity for someone to have a quality cab for small money.
