The Peavey arrived yesterday. The packaging was sufficient to keep it safe. Overeall it looks like it's in ok condition. My issues with it are that the G string rattles/fret buzz, and the knobs feel like thin, cheap plastic. I'm going to take it to my set-up guy and see what he says.

I bought this bass and had it shipped from CA to NJ, only to return it because a) active mode did not work and b) there is a small amount of ski jump developing at the end of the fretboard. That said, it sounds pretty killer in passive mode even with old strings, I ended up being able to get the setup pretty low, and it's pretty light for an ASAT (right around 9 pounds). The wiring looked OK, so I'm guessing the pre-amp issue might not be too bad (bad chip?). Body date is April 30, 1992.

I just didn't want to fight with it. The listed price of $589 is a pretty solid deal. I have more pics if anybody wants to see them.
