No picture, but it's listed as 5 star condition. Calling it a Squier Modern Player, which has to be incorrect... it was only ever a Fender, though it's made in the same plant as the Squier CV product line.

It's listed as black, but AFAIK it only came in the 2 colors shown below:

If it's actually a Squier, they did have these in the VM line:

These routinely go for $400-500 in decent condition, with super nice ones going for more. $199 is a steal, assuming no major issues. I'm tempted to grab it just because it's MIJ and I don't have one, but have about 20 basses at the moment, with fewer than half of them to be 'keepers'.

Tempting indeed. If it didn't have the gold hardware I'd maybe go for it. It might be mint. Their prices rarely reflect the condition of a bass. It's hit or miss with GC but the return policy makes things easy.

Easier for you than for me, as I'd have to ship it to my US address and pick it up at some point afterwards - which isn't always right away and could easily be beyond the 30 day return date - amd then decide on the spot whether it gets returned or not. I'd previously have taken that chance with this bass, but I have to be 100% focussed on getting the 'extras' finished and off my hands and getting my new prototype models done.

I briefly owned this bass and returned it. It sounded fantastic. The neck felt great, but the shape of the body made it the most uncomfortable to play bass I've ever played. It's uncomfortable standing up with a strap, and it's uncomfortable sitting down, either in standard position or classical guitar position, and you still need a strap sitting down or it wobbles uncontrollably. The shape is just stupid, which was a shame cuz it sounded so good. But if anyone's interested, it was in essentially mint condition.

I love the MEC jazz pickups but I suck at fretless. Pity. Looks like a newer model Rockbass to me, which is still worth it in my opinion.

Only 500 of the Silverburst were made. I had one. This is a for sure steal at 349.
