I am a sucker for these little guys, and this one is already modded! I don't think my wife will be happy if I get a third one...P pickups, a pearloid guard and a new bridge!

Haha funny I just bought that and checked this thread to see if it was posted. I am heading to my parents in Oregon for a 12 day visit next week and was worried about not having a bass. I saw that and just paid for it and its being shipped to my parents, which is only 70 miles from that store.

The mods look well done. The bridge is a badass I worth probably $60 itself. I am guessing if they modded it with a custom cut pickguard and a decent bridge that the P pickup is likely a decent aftermarket one, but maybe its just something cheesy. They said it has a gig bag to. For $101.53 with shipping I think its going to be a sweet vacation bass. The logistics of getting it back to LA is unknown. I may just leave it there.

Did you buy it? Looks awesome.

No, I did not - I checked the site and it was gone? I checked on my phone - I need to double check on my computer.

If it is gone, I may call the store that had the one I originally looked at while on vacation and see if he'd ship it to me. Sweet bass though, did not realize until this thread that it was relatively rare.

I may buy a Sterling SUB too...over time I am liking the MusicMan style more and more. I have basically always played a P, J or Jag, with a brief stint with a T-40 that I never ever should have gotten rid of. Rookie mistake.

If someone wanted to try their hand at fretless, you won't find one much cheaper.

I bought this but there's some weirdness going on. It says RBX260F so it seems like it's a stock fretless, but the fretlines are almost invisvible. The side dots are where they'd be on a fretted bass but the intonation is set on the lines, not the dots, like it would be on a defretted bass. Since I can barely see the lines, I can't really tell at a glance where to fret. Sure, I should be playing by ear, but I'm not a good fretless player. I bought it to fool around on but it's a pain in the butt without being able to see the lines.

This might be a really nice deal for someone since these are pretty highly regarded. I'm assuming it is the CS model since I don't think they made a stock run Pino Sig.

Did anyone here catch that this had a price drop this morning and was going for $2700? Sooo tempted.....I am so glad it looks like it's gone!

These are awesome basses, though the LE doesn't have the upgraded sweepable mid that went onto later models.

What it DOES have is an awesome Gotoh bridge, very much like the one that came on Fender Roscoe Beck basses, which he wouldn't allow them to continue making the bass without. Gotoh nailed it with that one, as it has both a lock-down screw on each saddle, as well as sliding seats on the saddles that are adjustable left and right for varied string spacing. I have a pearl white LE that plays like a dream.
