Any idea what "phase" control does on this bass? I haven't seen that before. Not a huge fan of the black finish but could be strong PNB competitor with Fishman electronics and similar price.

Same price as PNB14E. There is a Cordoba mini for $199.

I noticed the Mitchell super short scale acoustic bass a few weeks ago on the Musician's Friend site and thought it looked pretty nice. Didn't realize it had not come up in this thread previously. I'm very happy with my PNB14E but the Mitchell would be a consideration otherwise.
What does intrigue me is that Mitchell also makes a regular 30" short scale acoustic which is pretty reasonably priced as well. And it was on sale at 30% off a few weeks ago at MF. If I lived in the US I would have been all over it. I thought of having it shipped but with everything that is going on getting it across the border to Canada would have been difficult.

You have a much better memory than me. These days, sadly my memory is shot, and I have no recollection of either bass. But I am glad people are posting about them as they are discovered. And yes, it would be very helpful if we could keep a single list somewhere. I'm off to go read the separate Mitchell thread. That price sure is right.

That's the deal they gave me back in March. I didn't even ask for it or enter any code. The discount just popped up in checkout.

I'm really happy with mine. I wish they made a fretless, but I've got a 25" MicroBass for that. The Ports don't look very "traditional", but they are nice.

You guys have been busy lately!

I was on Lark in the Morning's Website, trying to find a good source for a Contrabass Balalaika (don't ask!), when I found a new string source, at a crazy good price:

Silver-plated, nylon core, and coated, so no problem with the dreaded La Bella Blackfinger Syndrome.

They're meant for classical guitar, so you get an extra pair of skinny strings thrown in- you can use them to fish for squirrels, or to hold up your pants...

There's normally an endpin in the bottom corner, so you can adjust the standing height.

He does a twirl and slam near the end, that probably explains what happened to his endpin...

What kind of bridge is that? I don't see pins, but I also don't see ball ends at the edge.
