So, still no word from the op? That's pretty awesome.
He's busy girding up his balls.
I think we got lownered.
I'm still confused as to how you can supposedly play with someone for a year, and have nothing to play when a tryout happens?
*headscratch*
The dude doesn't want to play out yet...if he feels he's not ready, he's probably not ready...you trying to shame him into playing by calling him a pussy is not cool. I respect him for being up front and telling you he's not ready, instead of trying to play gigs and train wrecking every song...
Anyways I get the feeling there's more to this story we don't know.
I am also forced to point out that if the OP is, in fact, 26, he will meet with a lot of legal issues should he be successful in his quest to have sexual relations with girls.
He might want to consider women, at this point in his life, although how he is going to get any of them to consider agreeing will be another matter, unless he can learn to skip the obligatory mention of the state of his private parts.
Your guitarist had a meltdown? Nah. You're the one having a meltdown. Your guitarist straight-up told you that he's got other priorities that make gigging unrealistic but would still like to jam if you're into that. So you're blaming him for having a life and for not being delusional enough to think that gigging in a bar band will make him somebody. And you're blaming him for holding you back. Dude, you've been jamming with this guy for a year. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me for a whole year?
His priorities are a lot different than yours. You've known this for awhile. So stop blaming him and get to doing what you should have been doing a year ago: finding musicians with similar goals.
hoping it will just die off.
