Well! I finally got my back-ordered parts today - with a slight conditional statement.

In e-mail conversations with them, I was promised a complimentary part that I forgot to order - not very expensive, but I was promised that part would be thrown in for all my trouble.

Guess what? It wasn't in the package.

Ah well - I at least got the stuff I ordered --- finally, although it seems a promise made and not kept is kinda odd too.

Here it is July 7th and this took months to get squared away. I wish all good fortune if they get their orders straightened out in a decent amount of time.

I ordered on June 29th it arrived today also some parts from angela did arrive today.

I split my order in two different companies just in case something got lost in the way down here (Uruguay, south of South America) the loss would be smaller. so If some fellow TBer from down here it´s thinking about ordering, estimate 20 days.

Joe excuse me if I kidnapped your thread for a while but as it was useful for me when I was thinking about ordering from them, it might be useful for other overseas TBer like me.

I never feel a thread is kidnapped/hijacked at all. If it adds to or reaffirms anything, even something off the wall or only semi-related, I thinks it's all good.

For all involved, I finally got my complimentary part from them and I really wonder if I'll try any other orders from GPS again.

We'll see. Need and dependency are compounding issues and I like to be able to order and know that communication is forthright and timely if something is back-ordered or temporarily out of stock.

As it is, I don't see any quality of materials issues.
