That was it, exactly. Forrest and Olive Johnson, from Northern Wisconsin, my parents, and owners of a very fine collection of vintage vinyl, from which I drew my early inspiration. I've been playing jazz bass for forty years now, and a lot of it's because of them. Dad's a drummer, by the way, put me on my first gigs when I was a pup. He still plays at 84.

Mark, Thnax fer traslnatin', sumtimes I not tipe sew gud..... :eyebrow:

Oh, and Carlos, I've heard your work... and you may not be a mom, but you're most certainly a mutha..... :D

This is why I do love this place. people are actually looking out and ready to help others in many ways. This was great and saved us all a bit of needless animosity.

Much respect to all of you.

P.S. Just to set the record straight. I was a member of local 47 in L.A. for a bit under 30 years. I may have conveyed something else so just wanted to clear that up. :cool:

Dig! I don't remember who said that......:)

My first and only surfing experiment was very, very near to the spot (closer to inland) where Mark Foo lost his life in the surfing contest. Since then I've enjoyed surfing as a casual spectator. Some places in nature are absolutely best left unexploited by sport and commerce. A lot of fisherman have disappeared in that area. May they rest in peace as well.

Treyzer.....ya'all got two uprights, a good job, and a patient family......try some gut strings!:D
