...if the guy was from a Motorhead tribute I'd understand if he wanted to make sure the bass could cope with all the strumming but - from a bassists point of view he was just making a lot of noise with it

? You guys are weird. That wasn't horrid as you guys made it sound. He was a little rough on a bass that he probably isn't going to buy... other than that, I don't feel it's worth the several pages of "OH my god that was the worst thing ever" that you guys are dishing out.

It can be frustrating to see that kind of wankery get praised though. That guy might be a good guitar player, but he's not a bass player, at least in that clip in question.

I was thinking the same thing. Probably a whole lot of metal bands would love to have the guy on bass anyway.
