In college we played a fraternity combine halloween party dressed in white sweatsuits with black tails, swim goggles, and white swimcaps. Lettering on the sweatsuits? Fallopian Tube Swim Team. People loved it.

true....but to watch robots play instruments is pretty incredible. i thought it would be cheesy midi tracks or something with robots mimicking, but no....the robots actually play.

fun show if you ever get the chance to see it.

I went as Devo a couple of years ago. Incredibly simple and effective costume to make. They actually have a full costume available at many costume shops, but I made my own yellow suit with a cheap yellow rain suit from Target and black vinyl adhesive letters to spell out "D-E-V-O". Just add 3D glasse and you're good to go. Looked great with my Steinberger bass.

Of course you could always go as Flea and just go au natural with a strategically well-placed sock. ;^)

The coolest band costumes I have ever seen was a band called Ded Walleye in Fargo. Their singer (a dude) dressed as Cher from that video on the ship with all the sailors and the rest of the band were sailors. I am sorry, that is just the funniest thing I have ever seen.

One year the band I was in dressed as the Hanson brothers from the movie Slapshot. We were playing in Warroad, MN where they make Christian brother's hockey sticks, so it was the right costume for up there.

Maybe some local funny celebrities?

This year the Jackson Five would be timely,
as would Where the Wild Things Are. My band (5 piece)has opted to be "shockers". It ended up being the most cost effective as the costumes were $35 each. WTWTA would be the coolest, since our singer is short and the rest of the band is tall- he'd be the Max to our Wild Things!

I believe if something is worth doing, its worth doing well... Used to win costume prizes wearing my wife's outfits in my younger days. Played several Halloween gigs in drag, and I do put the effort behind it.. I remember one year we came back to a club in November and a guy asked what happened to the gal bass player... Bandleader actually offered me some extra $$ every gig if I done that EVERY weekend. It ain't a lifestyle, and I do want to protect my reputation some, I declined... However, under the right circumstances.. if the entire band buys into it... the show value would be interesting

Our Front is a Woman so she is doing"The Bride of Frankenstein" and we are wearing White lab coats and goggles - "The Doctor" - Her Man is going to be "The Monster" - he's doing sound. Should be laughs all around. and it wont be hard to play in these getups either. sweet!

I saw them open up for The Advantage years ago! Such an awesome show.
