I'm sorry. It was never my intention to get in a pissing match with you, or to say that you or anyone else is not entitled to be upset about the situation. My posts were directed more towards the other guy, who has never made a single post on talkbass, except to bitch about hammersmith, and the k basses.
You are right, this situation sucks, it wasn't handled well, and a bunch of people are pissed off about it.

I'm starting to not like the way I'm coming off in this thread, so I'm going to leave it alone for a while.

I have no affiliation with Hammersmith, and its not my responsibility to protect his reputation.

I hope everyone who requests a refund receives one in a timely manner, and everyone who decides to wait for a k bass gets it soon, and if anyone decides to roll their deposit into a credit on another bass, I hope you like it.

I must admit I am quite nervous about my refund. I don't mean that in a nefarious way, but just that things have continually fallen apart on this. It would seem any refunds are now based on future sales/profitability, which is a whole other issue (that I of course have no clue about as far as sales of other models, etc.). Yet, I'm not sure that there is any recourse outside of waiting 1/2/4/6/8/12/whatever months and crossing my fingers. It sucks because I had to go in a different direction after all this time and that money could prevent that much more going on the credit card.

This is truly sad to read as I too had high hopes for a short scale K4. Fortunately, I didn’t put down a deposit.

To all those waiting for a refund or a product, good luck to you.

To anyone looking for a short scale bass and tired of waiting on Marko, I’d highly recommend Birdsong. Scott Beckwith is a great guy to deal with.

Also, Mike Lull is making two models in 30” scale now. I have a P4 with Novak BS/DS that is killer.

I reached out to Marko a few weeks ago to adjust my request for a refund to accepting one of his other in stock basses. He responded immediately when it came time to speak about him still making money. When he didn't have an option that appealed, I returned to requesting his guarantee in writing for a full refund. Since then, multiple messages and zero response. Pretty disappointed. A lot of people are patient and understanding, and I am one of those, but I have money in limbo with zero indication of when what I ordered may be on it's way, and I'm overall displeased with the communication. My experience can be proven to be, if I want to hear from Marko, tell him I'll give him more money. If I don't want to hear from him, repeatedly insist on my refund, which he has guaranteed in writing in two emails over the months. Bummer.
