Hampton Roads megaGTG - March 5th, 2011

That Acme B4(?)4x10 cab sounded killer. I'm not a PA/PA guy though. Would love to hear it with my conventional Genz Benz or Markbass amps. I'll bring my rigs next time.

When will you get those pics up? I'm dying to see them.

For the record, that was a Gallien Krueger 2001 preamp, QSC RMX 2450 power amp, and Acme B-4. The 2 X 10 "tower" was a Presonus Studio Channel, Crest CA-6, and two B-2's.

I really wish I had spent more time getting pics. There was a lot of great gear at this GTG, but you only see a few pieces, and there was some great jamming going on, too.

Lesson learned: Next GTG, take LOTS of pics, and record some video.

Zooberwerx's two Acme rigs - that's Dave W. (DWBass) laying it down in the foreground, with the drummer from my band and Calmb4tehpwn's guitarist.

Dave H playing a along with a backing track from his upcoming BPR record - definitely should have gotten video of that.

Some of Cirk's gear - old-school stuff - dig the 12-string Waterstone (3x octave)!

My humble offering - practice combo (which I love) and gigging rig (which I love even more!) -

Off to the right, those are Dingwall headstocks - Riis brought 3, including one of the new Combustion series - and Dave's amazing Roscoe LG3006. Amazing finish on that, and great chordal sound.

In the back of this pic, KOakley is messing with Dave H's 6-string Ergo EUB, which is set up right next to my Azola Bugbass EUB.

EDIT: I came home minus one extension cord (which I'm not terribly concerned about) and an extra, very nice, stand. Anyone realize they're missing a stand?

Seems to be my best side! ;) That 6 string EUB looks like it's saying 'Play me, play me now'! I was playing my Lakland Skyline JO5.
