Hanewinckel Piccolo 7-string!

emjazz said:
Yup, it's the fretless that gets me the most. I have no doubt that it sounds amazing. Any soundclips of that one?

No clips right now. It sounds sweet, tho. Especially given that it's the only bass to date Pete has built with a graphite neck! ;)

Sorry for the derailment, Dave!

If I had remembered my digital camera today, I would have taken some pics for you. I'll try to do that when I go back up the next time, assuming it's before he finishes yours.

Haha, no problem. Feel free to post any Hanewinckel pics that you want here.

Yeah, if you get a chance to take some pics and Pete's cool with it, that'd be great!

I forgot, is this your bass?

I liked how that one looked with the light neck. That's part of the reason why I went with the birdseye maple neck on my new piccolo. If you ever want to sell any of your Hanewinckels, let me know first. :)

Yeah, that's one of my three Hanewinckel 7's. It's an Artist Fusion with a solid flame maple body.

I'll keep you in mind if the time ever comes to sell any of my Hanewinckel basses. From time to time, I do pick up the odd fiver or sixer and re-sell. Mostly, I just play 'em, tho! ;)

I'd probably only be interested in 7 or more strings. I sold my two 6-strings because I never played them and there was a guy who wanted both of them.

Do you have pics of your other 7's? I can't remember which ones you got.

Jeez, these Hanewinckels look awesome.

@Dave: Can you comment on your prospective string choice? I currently string my Kramer Duke piccolo with D'Addario EXL280's (Invalid Link Removed) and I'm looking for new tonal options.
