Has anybody changed their knobs for aesthetic reasons?

It seems like a quick and simple way to spice up your bass. If anyone has I'd like to see.

I don't like the standard Jazz type knobs but love the P bass ones, so....

Sorry for the large pic. The bass isn't completed yet and this is the most recent one I have of it.

I also have a mid '80s Jazz Special that will be wearing P-knobs when it's complete as well.

I bought the black dome knobs from Guitar Parts Resource for my Geddy. Stock Jazz knobs are like a poopy flavored lollipop.

I put some of those foam retainers from a stand on my knobs and they look pretty snazzy, I think.

I still think when a pickguard matches the top of the knobs, it makes a bass better than anything else. IMO.

Pull the knob off. If the pot is split, its split shaft. If its a solid shaft, its a solid shaft. Be careful though, some stock knobs unscrew or twist off. Dont pull unless youre sure.

If the knob doesnt just pull off its most likely a solid shaft, but if it just pulls off its probably split.

I've got an Electron Blue P with the pearloid white PG and have the pearloid topped P knobs to go with it, similar to yours. Looks really good.

I'm in the minority... i hate P-bass knobs!
I chnaged the P-bass knobs for J-bass knobs on my Bronco (big for vol, small for tone)
And then chnaged them out for the knobs off of my Boss DS-1 distortion.
They look like J-bass knobs but with a small chrome cirlce on top... very classy with my perloid pickguard.
Now the bass doesn't look (as) cheap.

This, all my J's wear P style knobs.

This one espcially, as its got black ones, with pearl tops, to match the body/pickguard.
That bass has gone through more changes since.
