Has anybody changed their knobs for aesthetic reasons?

In the "nobody's going to notice but me" file... I changed the knurled Dome top knobs on my SX P to Flat top knurled knobs. I know it's probably splitting hairs for most people, but I like the Flat top knobs WAY better than the Dome tops.

I just noticed this weekend that one of my pbasses has flat and the other domed and I thought to myself, I like the flat tops better.

I just changed mine for mostly aesthetic reasons. Though I also changed them because I didn't like the cheap, plastic feel of the original knobs on the bass either. Heh heh...

I love the look and feel of these new custom wooden knobs I bought from Roger at THG Knobs. I'm much happier with this bass now. lol... :D

David King made these for my Zon - I really love the way they look. And they feel way better than the plastic, and they are easier to read (the stock plastic knobs had no position dot, which I especially like on my blend knob).

and on the bass (I really need a better pic with no dust!)

I changed the knobs on my Epi EB-1 from the black tophat style to the Gibson vintage amber speed knobs when I replaced the original pots with Gibson pots. Its a much better look for my bass. I had no choice as the Epi knobs have coarse knurling and the Gibson pots are fine knurled.

I wanted my P-Bass to be a metal monster, while still keeping the P-Bass classy look and all-known tone.

The mods include a pearloid pickgurad, Gotoh 201 high-mass bridge, Dunlop Straploks, and black knobs. The mods give it a more "aggresive" look, while still keeping the beauty and simplicity of a P-Bass.

The Gotoh 201 with Roundwound strings sounds pretty aggresive and punchy, but the P-Bass personality shines through. The Dunlop Straploks let me act stupid without breaking the bass. The rest is just visual, not that the Gotoh 201 didn't add to the look.

Also worth mentioning, I attribute the black knobs to much of the aggresive/ classy look, it works for both soo much better than the old chrome knobs did.

Sorry about the blurry pics, it was from my cell phone, this is the clearest pic I have of my bass.
