Has anyone A B ed a SR300e to a SR 370e?

Any difference in the sound?

I know the only real difference is maple vs mahogany body, so does it cause any real tonal property differences? I personally would expect the 370e to be a bit brighter due to the maple.

Though I have owned older 370s and 300s but they had electronics that weren't as good and the older 300s were agathis. Oh and I never had both at the same time lol

They are virtually the same bass. Same pickups/electronics, same neck/body ... no sound difference; especially being they're both have gloss finishes.
If you want to change the sound - change the string type. It's the cheapest way to change your sound.

Kinda figured that. I guess with a maple board would brighten up the tone even more

The SR370E also looks a lot better, TBH I really dislike those finishes on the SR300E.

The local Ibanez dealer even marked down a floor model for $100 less, but I couldn't get past the metallic grey finish & I'm usually one to not care about the finishes.

One thing I have noticed about them is the wires, there's a ton of them inside the cavity, to accommodate the pickup switch.

I had a SR400EQM delivered (used) from GC & it was faulty, so I opened up the back & was kind of shocked how much wire was in there, LOL.

There was a blue SR400EQM for sale on TB, so you could get that for a price comparable to a new SR300E.
(DOH!, can't find it now, so maybe it sold)
