Has anyone built a boutique "living room rig?"

Get yourself a set of Bill Fitzmaurice plans and have a cabinet maker make them out of furniture grade wood. Bill's speaker designs are also very efficient giving you the option on cutting back on the size of the tube head needed.

The amp will be harder particularly since you're going with the naked look. Perhaps a custom builder could craft you one to your visual specs? Have you seen this thread?

I like that, I must get one!

Hats off to the guys with living room rigs. I have bad envy from living in a microscopic condo (it's expensive where I live) with a puny amp so as not to disturb the neighbors.

Longing for the opportunity to rock out, but must use headphones to get loud....so, so, so very pathetic. I am ashamed. :-(

I should start a thread for bassists who can't rock out at home.
