Has Your Overall Band Experience Been Good?

I got home my kids had made "rock star" posters for me and my daughter made me a special gift box with one of my favorite treats inside (Reese's Peanut Butter Cups). Scribbled on the box was "I knew you could do it Dad" (she's 8).

At that point, I knew I'd "made it" farther than I ever thought I would.

You're very fortunate, I come home at 2:30am to an empty condo.

I always loved playing with other musicians, which I was doing both before and after my band.

The band experience, itself, was great, before the troubles set in. When we were going, we were going well. I just wish we had gotten more mileage out of it. I continued to play with others where I could, but never really got a full band back together. My area was small enough, with few bass players(and even less drummers) that losing half the band was a real kick in the teeth. My second "band" was me on bass, my lead guitarist, and a few others that played with us often. No drummer. And we never really got back the traction that the first band was starting to get.

I think certain bands under estimate the fall out and consequences of losing members and more devastating "key members".

Take my band for example. Where would you find another young female that can play blistering 70s style blues/rock lead guitar solos, exceptional vocals and front the band?
