I don't really listen to much metal anymore, but would have to agree with this. I listened to all of Kill 'em All on YouTube a few months back - wow, that is really primitive, but still a lot of fun! Also, as a previous poster had mentioned, the three Rush albums, although I might start it at Hemispheres...

Someone mentioned Black Sabbath. I can think of no other band which had so many ass-kicking killer songs released one after another. Maybe 4 of the first 6 albums alone are some of the greatest metal, no, of the the greatest rock and roll albums ever released. Even the way the songs are sequenced on the albums seems to have been done on purpose; Planet Caravan to put you in a trance, followed brutally by Iron Man's evil-as-hell heaviness. I don't know if they planned it all that way, but it worked out beautifully.

As for Floyd, I almost included Medal in my list, but that one song Seamus where they got the dog to howl the blues into a microphone just kind of ruins the flow for me in what is an otherwise perfect album. In my day job I listen to a lot of CDs and when I have this one on I often skip that one song. I think the song is interesting but out of place.

I'd consider all of these in my own list-especially Yes (And I own all three of those)
For Queen though I might do SHeer Heart Attack/A Night at the Opera/A Day at the Races as I feel News of the World is a weaker album.
I'd go with your second version of Aerosmith--I never understood the Draw the Line backlash
For Zeppelin, I think it could be any three in a row-other than Coda and In through the Out Door, but for me it would be best to include Physical Graffiti -and I do really like Presence as well.

Yup. There's a reason that one of the largest genres of pop music was spawned by those albums (YES, SABBATH STARTED HEAVY METAL not BOC or Cream or Steppenwolf or Blue Cheer or whoever all you people say). They rule.
