Have I mentioned that I LOVE pawn shops ?!?

Made the rounds .... bought a Boom Bass 1215 cabinet for almost nothing. They had no idea what it was, and it'd been on layaway forever, so it was on the big big markdown.... and then I talked them down some more !

Cabinet..... 30 day warrantee ... tax ......

........... $107 !!!! (They sell at MF for like $1200)

And it's in great shape... no tolex tears, just a nice cab ! Sounds incredible...... it'd been in the back since 2017 , they'd forgotten it !!!

And the receipt ......

Pawnshops around here used to be ok, but they've all stagnated now.
They're asking too much for junk that just stays there like furniture.

I actually got burned the last couple of times I bought from pawn, so I've cooled my heels on going in there.
Not to mention I have the perfect gear right now, at least for my needs.

I have that exact bass and it is great.
Limited addition MIM; supposedly less than 120 were made in that color.
If that cab could take 1600 watts RMS you could change the laws of physics
Pawn shops and used instrument dealers use eBay and Reverb around here; hard to get just an OK deal.

A couple of weeks ago, in the middle of lunch hour, my coworker tells me "I saw this Fender Precision Bass at a pawn shop on U.S. 1 (10 minutes from work) last weekend for like $80, but I didn't have the cash on me" I RAN to my car and got to the place in record time to find it was GONE! Nice score (and you definitely suck)!
