Made the rounds .... bought a Boom Bass 1215 cabinet for almost nothing. They had no idea what it was, and it'd been on layaway forever, so it was on the big big markdown.... and then I talked them down some more !
Cabinet..... 30 day warrantee ... tax ......
........... $107 !!!! (They sell at MF for like $1200)
And it's in great shape... no tolex tears, just a nice cab ! Sounds incredible...... it'd been in the back since 2017 , they'd forgotten it !!!

Man, those ocean blue p basses are deadly considering what you get for the few measly bills they cost. I had to spend a little willpower and put one down recently before I walked out the door with it. Really great bass.

Where the heck are these awesome pawn shops? All I ever seen in pawn shops are Walmart jewelry, ten year-old iPod Classics, worn out drills, Lyon P bass knockoffs and Affinity Strats.
I used to comb pawn shops regularly back in the 80s. This was before online retail started killing brick and mortar shops. Incredible deals were to be found everywhere, pretty much every guitar, amp, etc. I bought was from a pawn shop in those days.
Yeah, don't see myself ever doing that. If it's pawned it's basically gone, so I'd just sell it.
Or work some overtime...

I love them too! All but 2 of my guitars & basses have came from pawn shops! All but 1 of my firearms are from pawn shops. You do have to price shop & compare. Then talk them down. If you are short on cash, you can lay a way it!
Every where I hang my hat, the pawn shops seem to be the suck. Nice score! I guess they are all hit or miss establishments, but I see more miss than hit. Story of my life. LOL

I have that exact bass and it is great.
Limited addition MIM; supposedly less than 120 were made in that color.
If that cab could take 1600 watts RMS you could change the laws of physics
Pawn shops and used instrument dealers use eBay and Reverb around here; hard to get just an OK deal.
It has a 12" Neo , a 15" Neo, and a 300 horn .... I guess that's where they are getting the wattage rating.
All I know is this.... it took everything my Tecamp Puma 1000 could give, in bridged mode. Louder than I would ever need to think about being.
I just saw the one driver and the tweeter; sounds like a monster in a small package.

Yeah, it's deceptive because it has that 15 inch downward facing driver. Really good clarity, great tone, really like this cabinet.
Seriously. I have shopped at many pawn shops over the last 40 years (I'm 61). EVERY time I inquire about an item I'm interested in the asking price is equal to or more than the new cost. I gave up on pawn shops years ago as the proprietors seem to think they can sell used stuff for new price.
We have one music shop here that buys and sells. Unfortunately if he had a very used 70's Peavey Mark III he would ask the same price when it was brand new
