60th anniversary ash P bass deluxe + U retro preamp + D'addario Chromes= most awesome bass ever! (For me anyway). Funny I got this bass on trade and was pretty sure I was gonna bounce it for something else, but since I did the U retro install, I cant put the thing down! Is it that bass yet? I don't know yet, it is for the moment. but then again I have yet to try a Ric and I have horrible GAS for one.

My Millenniums (only my five is pictured) always have compared favorably against any other bass I have played. Thye are not perfect, I wish it were easier to quickly dial in good tones, I wish they had flip up battery compartments, and I wish the rear humbucker could be split, but they are great sounding, comfortable, and lightweight basses. Even if I had serious MTD, Ritter, Fodera, money, I would still give my Millenniums a long hard look.

I've spent a BUNCH of time getting this Electra exactly the way I want it. It was pretty banged up when it arrived but now, it's pure sonic sweetness. It makes that PURRFECT P bass sound that's always in my head :) Since this pic was taken, I modified the knobs with inlays of the same material as the pickguard and replaced all the screws with stainless.

Yes indeed. This Jerzy Drozd is it for me. It has a beautiful singing legato tone that almost sounds like a human voice, and an articulate, punchy staccato bark.

It's extremely lightweight and well-balanced, and the arched, contoured body and thin, flat, asymmetrical neck are as ergonomically sound as I could ask for.

It's ridiculously easy to play, and the fit and finish are as good as I've ever seen. This is the only bass I play these days.

Wow if i ever wanted a P-bass, i'd get that with another color =]

My Steinberger, hands down. But I have several others incl my Ibanez RS824 and RB850, Alembic S1, Kubicki X and Peavey T40 that are close too.
However my XL just feels like it was made for me.

Why yes I have, my new Zon Sonus custom five. This bass is the ultimate in playability, comfort, clarity, sound fit and finish.

First I'll start with comfort. This bass fits me just right, it is lightweight and balances nicely. I don't have to fight it or squirm when I'm playing. After a full set of playing my back no longer aches.

The playability of this bass is superb. It has a 34" scale which makes it very easy on my skinny fingers. I have no forearm pain whatsoever, even after several hours of playing.

The sound the sound the sound, I can't say enough about it. I used to play a Modulus Q5. I loved the note accuracy and clarity of these basses. The one thing I was always missing was the warmth. Well, the Zon has plenty of warmth. Now I get a wood tone from a graphite neck. I can get every kind of sound from this bass. Deep deep blues, nasely Jaco-esque burpy-ness, reggae, rock, funk, you name it. This bass can truly do it all.

The fit and finish is about what one can expect from an instrument of this price range. Tight routing, tight neck pocket nice finish.

This is by far the best bass I have ever owned. It is the only bass I have and I have no want for any other. Does this mean I will play this bass for the rest of my days?...no way, it's just what feels really good at the moment. I love my Zon.
