Has anyone given their Bass Guitars names?..(and why)

This is the first time I've seen one of thee threads with people responding with their named basses, rather than "no, that's stupid, why would you name a bass?!?!" A change in the air, perhaps?
I don't think it's stupid, I just haven't cared about the concept enough to do it. To me, basses are tools; albeit tools that have something of a persona, for sure. The basses are already named by the manufacturer. I'm not sure why a name from me would change anything about how they are set up or sound, which is all that matters to me.
I also think of my basses as being male. There's really nothing girly about them.
I think this has been done. Just sayin'.
I'll play anyway. Rhea and Brie are my two Epi Embassy Special IVs. I contemplated selling one to get a fiver last month but as much as I want a fiver I can't bring myself to sell either. Decision still in progress![]()
