Have you used sandberg tm5?

Pros:
▪️Build Quality
▪️Tuning stability
▪️Ease of setup
▪️Bridge design v Fender
▪️Low action players will love them
▪️Larger Neck pocket with 6 fixings is better than Fenders
▪️Price (for a custom built) is fantastic.
▪️All are custom built, not mass produced.
▪️If you like relics, Sandberg are right up there with the best. (Fodera even use Sandberg to do any relic work and they would only use the best).
▪️Neck stability and playability.
▪️Good choice of finishes and colours
▪️Good pick up choices
▪️Sound great
▪️Zero frets
▪️Great backup from the company if you have an issue.
▪️Reputation.

Cons:
▪️Order period is min of 9 months (They only produce 100-120 per month)
▪️For Reserve and Masterpiece models the order period can extend to 18 months.
▪️Resale value generally lower as they are custom built v standard Fender production models.
▪️Weight (of older models using European alder and ash). New basses are coming in much lighter.

I haven't tried one through an amp, but last month I played a California 5 (and another model I don't remember) unplugged and was highly impressed. I loved the solid construction, neck feel, and playability, and it had the strong acoustic resonance I like.

I don't have experience with models other than california TT or TM jazz basses.
Pro - I love the SOUND and FEEL of every one I've picked up.
Con - I don't like the new rounded california body style. I only the like the "sexy hips offset waist" that they don't make anymore. I'm relegated to the used market where I've found fantastic basses.
