stick with brands everyone knows and respects, too...if you're unsure, ask about it before laying the money down. but don't post ads or someone might scoop you.

If i would've had Talkbass as a Young lad, I might be a wealthier man today (I seriously doubt it though, I would have probably spent the money un-wisely on something else).
Typically most guys around here can point You in the right direction, on gear purchases and the like. I have avoided some rather costly bad gear decisions by reading these threads and asking questions.
