Headless Club???

I just picked up a NOS set of Ibanez Axstar five-string hardware (did I buy from one of you perhaps? :roflmao: ).

I knew the Axstar had narrow string spacing. Fortunately I like narrow string spacing. I actually find it difficult to play "normal" 19mm spaced instruments. 16mm is my preference.

Well, the parts came in, and - they're tiny. Really tiny. 13.5mm between string centers. Wow.

Not sure if I should build something up with them, or pass them on...

Still planning my 1st build. Things are coming along... albeit at a glacial pace.

I have a few more parts coming in so it looks like I'll be making 2 or 3 instruments.

I'm experimenting with making headless bridges using replacement saddles. Still trying to source appropriately sized PTFE (Teflon) washers as I don't think they will function properly without them.

The strings are DR Neons. I'll fix the string ends at the top, lol. First time restringing a Kiesel (so I left myself a little extra just in case).

What a beauty! I've been thinking too much about Kiesels lately and how I want a Vader 5 with a thin neck profile. I really felt connected with one when I played it at their HQ in Oceanside. Such beautiful instruments.

Thanks!! I love playing it. It's *so* fun! I would love to try one with the thin neck profile, too, someday. (I *think* mine is standard, but it's comfortable to me. Would be neat to compare, anyway.) They have SO many options on their builds! I love how customizable they are. Though the variety of options is almost overwhelming... and from what I've heard on the FB page, there are even more options available that aren't on the online builder tool.
