Heavy Psychedelic Blues?

Almost every song on this album is what I'd classify as Psychedelic Acid Blues. Mary of Silence being my favorite one of the bunch, but the rest are really good as well.

Unfortunately none of Mazzy Star's other albums sound anything like this. If you can get beyond the spaced out vocals and the laid back drums and the sporadic guitar fills you'll find the bass and keyboards are pretty much holding the entire song together. All the other instruments and vocals just kind of swirl around each song in a drug induced state. It kind of makes you think, this is what music would sound like if Jimi Hendrix, Gerry Garcia and Grace Slick got together and had a love child.
