Our singer used to do that all the time. And it actual WORKS--ALL THE TIME!...the singer screamed "Man I wish. Those guys ROCK." The sarcasm was palpable and the drunk walked away not totally sure whether he was just mocked or not. It was a thing of beauty and I am not ashamed to say that I've appropriated this tactic on several occasions myself...
I actually do Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and I have to say the submissions are great, but not applicable in crowds. I greatly prefer the Judo throws we learn for take-downs. Usually the persons' head is undefended (stompstomp), as is their entire ribcage (kickkick) and arm (bendybendy).
Whats funny though is despite all this training I have, I've never been in a fight in my life
OT:
I just play when they try to talk. Like that one Orbitz commercial with the construction. Or was it Travelocity?
Better yet, what are your favorite comeback lines? Here's my favorite:
"Hey, we're trying to work up here! You don't see me coming to your place of business and f&*%ing with the Slurpee machine, do ya?"

I'll have to agree w/you.Most people who respect martial arts are disciplined, and respect MMA,and are in the same boat as you.By that,I mean avoiding confrontation.I'm no Frank Mir,but,I have had some experience when it comes to basic ground work. Not fighting at the drop of the hat,IMHO,helps make a COMPLETE martial artist.
We don't get hecklers in church... lol.
) We do play a lot of New Breed, but not as much straight gospel....You kiddin' me?We don't get hecklers in church... lol.
