My 7 year old has a pair and she loves them, but then again.. She's also 7.
She doesn't use them to annoy people or anything just digs being able to glide around.. She also understands the rules. The wheels come out when she's at school and, if she does get into trouble with them, it's back to regular shoes before she can bat an eye.
She's fallen a couple of times, but she's actually pretty good on them. I don't think I've ever seen anyone older than 11 wearing them though..

Anybody got em?
I bought a pair, tried them for about a half an hour, nearly killed myself - I'm determined, but I don't have the time right now.
If ya got em, how long did it take to get used to them, and how do I get over all those little kids making me look like an idiot because they don't seem to have any problems at all.
If ya don't know what I'm talking about I'm talking about this Invalid Link Removed .
I know it's just my opinion, but those things are hella gay. Plus, when you walk in them, they make you look a little light in the loafers
I told her that I'm not buying shoes that require driving somewhere to be used.

I wouldn't wear Heelys on a *dare*. I like my bones intact and my head functioning properly.
My 8 y.o. daughter wants a pair. My question to her: Where will you play with them? We have a rutted caliche driveway. She said I could take her to the high school parking lot to use them. I told her that I'm not buying shoes that require driving somewhere to be used.

Damn! I gotta say I'm kinda surprised at how uptight and close minded a lot of you guys are. Wasn't expecting this kind of response. What the hell is sad, or "gay" about adding a little fun to yer life? I'm glad I don't limit myself like it seems some of you do.
In the manufacturors specifications, they tell you helmets and elbow/knee pads should be worn at all times. I also find this hard to understand, since these shoes aren't recommended for doing tricks.

I think my 11 year old nephew would be able to teach you how to work em.
He did wonder who Joe Nerve was, so I showed him a pic of you in the "glasses". He definitely thought the heelys would help you be a cool kid.![]()
+1Joe, the Heelys on stage is a great idea! You MUST post video if you get that working.
