Hi, my name's Disschorde, and I've been playing bass after converting from guitar for about 8 months. I'm 16 and I play the aforementioned bass, guitar, and a bit of drums, but as of right now, I focus mostly on the bass.

I've never had a formal lesson in my life so music theory all goes right over my head, but I do know what I like, why I like it, and how to play it

Mostly, I'm just looking for more exposure so that I can grow to become an effective contributing bassist.

There are some great threads on theory on TB, just start with the basics (pun intended) and ask the combined wisdom of TB if you are unsure about anything.
