Hello people, i'm Richard.
39 yo, from the north of the netherlands and been recently picked up bass again. i started about 10 years ago and was in 2 bands immediatly, which was really driving me to get better.
Then i went to live and work in africa for almost a year (would have been longer but this ebola thing was kind of there too and i lost the taste) and took my bass with me, but didn't play in a band there and found it hard to keep practicing without the drive. this continued when i came back here. i picked up my bass about once a week.
A few months ago i ran into this drummer with a love for blues (like me) and we started talking about a CCR-kind of band to get started, maybe later expand to other music too. We found a guitarist, a singer and later another guitarist and got started. Now i'm practicing daily and loving it. Love this place too. good advice, horrible humor... (or the other way around...) just my thing.
Last few weeks were hell for my GAS list or better said, my budget allocations, but i guess thats the way it goes. Anyway, nice to be here and hope i can contribute a bit.
