I found a Fury on GC for $110, idk much about them though. Aren't they sort of a P type bass?

I've heard good things. The fury looks just like a P Bass. From what I've read, you don't want a P Bass?

The Grind looks nothing like that.

I'm not familiar with either. Search some threads on these basses. You may run into a TB'er who is really knowledgable about Peavey.

I guess the Peavey club would be a good place to start.

Used Yamaha are a bargain. In fact used Yamaha, or even new Yamaha gears tend to be a deal.

If you're near Jersey I have a used BX-1 you can try out. It's Christmas.

The only Peavey I ever used in a live playing situation was the Peavey G Bass. It looked super cool, but that was about it. Something about its long upper horn didn't fit me well. I can't explain it. My Sterling bodies fit me like sneakers.

I think I read a review of the new BB basses from Yamaha. They carried them in 4 or 5 string and active or passive pickups. From what I remember, the reviewer liked the passive pickup models better.

I was almost going to buy one when they first came out... Then I got divorced, and my spare cash went bye bye.

Hey guys, looking for a little advice on what i should get for my first all electric bass. My local store carries ibanez, dean, epiphone, jackson, and schecter. The closest GC is nearly an hour away, so I'd like to stay with something from my local store. That being said, I'm really gonna be looking for something pretty diverse with a budget at $300 which I know is a lot to ask, but it's all I can do right now. Thanks in advance guys.

At your price range, schecter, ibanez, and peavey would be right up your alley. these basses have great sound quality and they're affordable. here are some model recommendations just to name a few.

Peavey millennium bxp

Give some of these models a try. I plan to get a schecter stiletto extreme 5-string bass sometime soon. I own a 4-string version and since I was impressed with the sound quality, I would like to get a 5-string version.

Have you played a millennium bxp? I found a few of those on GC pretty cheap, or should i go for the other foundation s?
