Help dod meat box fx-32

Ages for
This pedal and can't find it for gold dust. and forgot all about it.
Does anyone know if there is
A pedal equal to this? Just saw janek gwizdala and he had one too. It sounds phat fat

It appears to be a mixture of low end parametric EQ (I'd guess boosting 50-100hz), a low pass filter (cutting the super highs and emphasising the huge lows) and a blended sub-octave effect (not a true octave down, but a slight mix of octave in with the dry signal).

When Janek played it tonight it sounded very much like my OC-2 into my Moogerfooger Low Pass Filter (I boost 40-50hz on the amp already). Very much a sound that I use a lot in my music. Not exactly the same, but in essence I'd say it incorporates a mix of those techniques to give you huge bottom end.

An Aphex Bass Xciter does similar too - Worth a look into. I used to use one before I got my big set up.

I've been able to find 4 online as of about 2 months ago. one as low as $25.
They're out there.
they're one of a kind. no one I know of has an equivalent. I have a friend of mine who i've talked to about trying to make a replica. we're figuring out of its doable.

if any one finds a diagram for it

Sorry, no. I've been using one for years, on bass, synth, and vocals, and I assure you it is a synthesized octave effect, and NOT these other effects you've been naming. When playing higher notes, or bass tones with a lot of upper harmonic content (like a J with rounds), it can certainly sound like a resonant lowpass filtr--but it's not emphasizing the fundamental, it's synthesizing a new tone an octave (and two octaves!) below the main tone you feed it.

OK. Sorry :(

I've done some internet digging and you are quite right, its a -1 octave effect. I was however right with the EQ aspect of things...

From dod discussions back when the pedal was available...
"The "Meat" controls the amount of sub-harmonic signal vs. dry signal, the "Rump" controls a 30Hz boost, "Flank" controls a 60Hz boost, and "Lbs." controls the output"

So there you go, octave down and huge low end EQ boost. Either way - sounds banging!

Huh, interesting! When I bought mine the instructions said "rump" was -2 oct and "flank" was -1 oct.... I lost those instructions long ago, so I can't verify. I wonder if they changed either the pedal or the documentation?

Could you link to where the DOD people said it was EQ?

Edit: I did find this [This invalid link has been removed] as well as a HC review that both have the specs you described. Now I have to wonder, did I just misunderstand the instructions back when I had them?

If so, then I apologize for insisting you were wrong!

It's good to have the right info but you don't need to kill eachother. If anyone can find a diagram of the circuit board then please link. I emailed dod and they were cold short and blunt
