My name is Logan, this is my first post on this forum.
Here's the story - I'm a long time drummer, was looking for something else to do so I picked up playing bass. I've been playing with a band for maybe a year, and got a chance for a upgrade from the bass I had been borrowing from a friend.
I bought a Gibson Victory Artist that is in good condition, a real beauty. It sounded really good, but the neck was a little curved and the action high so I took it in to get set up.
Week went by, then I got a call. The tech at the guitar shop had opened up to adjust the truss rod, and found it was twisted farther out than he has ever seen or his took could even adjust. I think it is safe to say that it is separated inside.
So I asked him my options, he said I could try to find a new neck, try to find one that would fit the body, or try to get the truss rod replaced. Anyone have any thoughts / parts / experience with something like this?
