I have a new Stagg EDB (Electric Double Bass) and the fingerboard at the 3rd note all the strings vibrates or buzzes.
I have moved the strings out of the way and run my hand up and down the fingerboard and can feel a hump. The finger board on thes are made of a white maple and painted black. I don't mind the idea of a blond fingerboard on a black bass. Should I use a hobbyist razor scraper on the bump and sand the rest of the neck?
Should I use a cabinet makers scraper on the bump and sand the rest of the neck?
Should I paint the neck or oil it?
If I paint it what kind of paint should I use?
Thank you for your advise.
