Help! Is this easily fixed?

It could be an easy fix but anyone who mangled a truss rod nut that much could have broken the rod or ruined the threads. return it.

I'm sure you're all dying for an update, so here it is.

I ended up returning the bass. First I considered returning it for repairs, but if they sent it to me in that state (with a signed inspection sheet from the store) then I don't trust them to repair it to be honest. Also considered requesting a partial refund, but, as some of you have mentioned, who knows what else could be wrong with the bass.

Now just need to wait and see if the bass arrives back safely and if they're honest enough to give me a full refund...
