I owned a fretless Warwick Corvette for a spell and it was like a boat anchor. They weight varies quite a bit, so you'll definitely want to try it before committing. But IME I'd go with the G&L.
It's weird, because the body really isn't that big, it must be the woods they choose, because mine's surprisingly heavy as well. Not quite a "T-40 class" shoulderbender, but getting there...
 
Do you know how many pounds may weight a 5er G&L like this?
I'm not sure of the weights for that model, maybe the G&L site will help - depends on the body wood, of course. They offer some in Empress (Paulownia), I understand those are extremely light (like 8 pounds). Ask what this one is made of, maybe? Or just ask the weight?
