I think that G&L is sexy. I like Warwick, have had a half dozen of them, but this is the first non ebony board Warwick fretless I’ve seen

You can buy a used Fender Tony Franklin for about $1,100 used .... that’d be my choice.

I've never gassed for a Warwick. I've played a bunch of them, including a few fretlesses. They have a very particular feel to them that I didn't dig at all. G&Ls feel more or less like most other production basses. It'd be a no-brainer for me.

Ive had warwick and G&L basses.... I would absolutely go G&L on this.

I have both. For me, the Warwick is a better playing bass. I can get the action incredibly low on it. However the G&L has more of that fender like tone which more people seem to go for. Warwick basses can be heavy also. But both are great basses. There is not really a better bass here.

Is there any difference on string spacing at the bridge, and does that make a difference to you? On tonal variety, the G&L will have it, especially if you have the patience to work with its various tones in passive mode.

i never had issues with string space except with 6 string basses cause i had many basses at the past and i can adjust my playing easily

thank you very much! the only thing that scares me is that i have not learn to play without the lines. The other fretless that i have is lined.

Practice intonation and always use your ears, it will come to you eventually.

Very nice playing, btw. I need to take my own advice and go practice more.

They're definitely an acquired taste, not everyone is into them. I love mine, but yeah, it's a different kind of bass. Not fully domesticated yet, still a little wild.
