You’ll be fine. It’ll take a bit of time to adjust, but you’ll be fine.

I actually prefer unlined because with a lined, now matter how confident I got in my intonation, I could not stop staring at the lines to make sure I was in tune and I felt it restricted my creativity.

It will have side dots so you know the area of where you need to be. Eventually, muscle memory will take over.

And sorry, I can’t listen to the clip now, but will later... I love hearing anything fretless.

I believe I have the Standard in bubinga as well. Whatever it is, it's quite a tank for the smallish body size... ...glad the prolines are lighter.

Bubinga is a very heavy wood, but it sounds fantastic. A six-string bubinga Corvette Standard is a beast of an instrument. Even the four-string is a heavy bass, but they are beautiful.

On your scale 10+
With the Nylon strings it is as close to an upright sound as I have ever heard out of a electric bass
I did the mods to give me more sound options
Never used the bass in active mode any way

oh my
So I replaced the middle and bridge toggle switchs to on/on/on
The neck switch is still the pickup selector the middle switch is for the neck pickup
outer /both/inner coil the bridge switch is wired the same for the bridge pickup.
From the G&L forum here on Tb I was given all the wiring diagrams for all G&L MFD pickups.
There are many different ways to configure them
If anyone needs them pm me you email and I will send along what I have
