Help me identify a speaker

Absolutely dispute it, the cabinet is no good as it is.

Hopefully you didn't buy the 410 from the same seller...

Hey Aged, here are the close up photos of the db410 speakers. I am actually worried about those "crack looking lines". They aren't torn nor does it look like it would be but what is this?

Driver #2 is showing the beginnings of failure and is ready for a recone or replacement. Drivers #3 & 4 are completly shot and need recone or replacement. Driver #1 looks ok, from a distance.

So guys, remember my constant warnings about overpowering speakers and the danger of too much power? THIS is the result. For those who have been disrespectful of my position on this (in others threads), i unfortunately see this pretty often and now you can see it too.

In something like a 4x10 where all the speakers are wired together (all getting the same exact signal), is it possible to just overpower/damage two of them? Or would all four likely have some damage?

The cab doesn't fart though... but yeah this obviously needs to be resolved. Cab failure in the middle of a gig is a bummer.

These were my initial thoughts too. I guess all speakers don't get the same current all the time. Perhaps it also depends on the crossover design and other stuff.

Very unlikely, but one or two drivers may have been replaced. Regardless, a prudent move would be to have them all reconed or replaced, and be aware of the limits of that cabinet.

The cabinet's low frequency response will certainly be much different than if the drivers are properly working.

In this case, this cab was purchased in the year 2015 and hasn't been opened till now. I know the guy personally.

I see. Well this cab eats lows like a champ but I certainly have no clue about it since there are no other db410s nearby for me to compare. Oh well. Gotta learn somehow right?
The LF distortion will be much higher, the damping will be much lower and the difference compared with a properly functioning cabinet should be very noticeable. The damage will continue to progress as long as you play it. That's how the materials fatigue process works.

I am no expert for this, the only thing I can say is that if I go over this crease with my fingers it doesn't feel as cracked, more like a wrinkle of some sort.

Definitely some sort of damage to my eyes, hard to believe a speaker would be shipped like this.
