Help me identify a speaker

Guys, I have another question.

I am just thinking loud, don't kill me for it ok :D

What would happen if I recone the aguilar speaker with eminence delta10a cone and surround? Apparently the delta is used as a secondary replacement for these aguilar speakers.

The reconing would be performed by a skilled technician. Is this even possible?

Hey guys, just wanted to share with you guys about what happened next.

So I contacted paypal about the DB210 and @agedhorse was a BIG PART in this. A claim specialist on paypal took over this case and soon after required me to upload a proof claiming the cabinet to be in a damaged state from a third party, a specialist in this industry. Agedhorse was happy to do me a favor and wrote an official letter explaining the damage and how it is impossible to fix without actually replacing the parts of the cabinet.

A week after, paypal contacted me today and approved my claim and issued me the right of a full refund. Now all I need to do is send the stuff back in UK and I will receive my refund directly from paypal.

@agedhorse I don't know how to thank you enough. I guess at least a major beer party is in order once I finally manage to visit the states. :)

After all an actual engineer of this type of gear who also happens to rank amongst the highest and most respected engineers in this industry found time to lend a helping hand to a mere mortal a.k.a. nobody (a.k.a. me :p )

Thanks a ton!! I will never forget this :)

Edit: Actually, I think I have to finally buy some MESA gear now, at least as a token of gratitude :) I will definitely keep this in mind hehe, having such an active and personal support is absolutely PRICELESS believe me.

It rubs me the wrong way when a seller intentionally takes advantage of somebody by selling them something that's clearly damaged and then won't make the attempt to compromise by making good on at least part of the screw up. Morally, it's not cool.

Hi everyone, please help me to know which Eminence speaker series this belongs to and approx. its value.
it was mounted on a EBS drome 12"
thanks

It's an Eminence OEM custom driver, it's worth nothing except to somebody looking for a factory replacement.

A 4 ohm, foam surround driver is a very special use part for bass guitar, the combination of low sensitivity and low power handling is a challenge for general use.

I have no idea. Is there something wrong with the original driver? If so, you might contact EBS and get their recommendation. Drivers like this often have unusual cabinet tunings (depending on the designer's goals)

the speaker is just fine, i had to remove it cause i'm shipping it on a pallet and i was told by the shipping office that to send it because of magnet and eventual interferences on the plane i must apply for a certification which costs 500 euro. and other than that every pallet box can' exceed a certain weight so i just took it out. yes thanks for the advice, i will ask to EBS

That would have been good information to provide.

Most shipping companies will measure your pallets, there’s a specified distance and magnetic flux level. I have measured many speakers and it’s not going to be a problem, especially if the speaker is near the center of the pallet. We ship thousands of speakers by air.

You need to get either better information or a better shipper. Or, the shipper is holding you hostage for the fee, which is even worse imo.

Update,

My amp still has no speaker cause i had to ship whitout It ...
I was forced cause i had to stick with the most convenient shipping company i've found. Others gave me absurd quotes like 3000 to 5500 dollars to ship a 290 kg pallet.
I need to buy a new one and i wonder what's best for my ebs drome 12" circuit.
I contacted ebs in sweden buy i got no help.
Please advise me, i play jazz mostly, i use an original 62 jazz bass,
a 66 dots jazz bass
and for jazz gigs a Coronado bass ll
thanks : )
