Help me locate a CV 60's Precision

Until now the word Squier has not appeared in this thread.
I have to ask, with so many variations of a P bass out there, some not even by Fender, why this one?
For price and reviews it just seemed like the one. I was thinking MIM but I was swayed to look around....

They are an excellent bang for the buck, for sure. I want one just for the Pino vibe.
If you're not in a hurry, I'd troll the Guitar Center used page. You'll score one that way.
They are getting scarce and I'm seeing them for outrageous prices. I "won" one on EBay about 4-5 months ago for under 3 bills. Unfortunately, it was "damaged" before shipment and the seller refunded. Sonic Blue too.
The neck profile is little different between MF P Vs CV 70P Vs CV 60P .
60P's neck is slimmer , MF P is fatter but still left behind CV 50P's neck, i could feel those 3 CV pbass's neck different become visible start from fret 6th to 17th.
CV 60P neck feel just like my previous CV60J except the nut width , if you guy who own both should agree with me.
The Cv70P sound little aggressive and punchy than Cv60P, maybe the maple fretboard cause the bass tone little more edge. One thing surprisingly me with the Cv70P is Light-In-Weight ! I been try 3 copies of it at GC, all of them is just around 8 pound.
My CV60P is close to 9 lbs and CV50P is around 9.5 lbs, and my previous CV60J is close to 11 lbs!!

I had a MIM Fender, and I just recently acquired a 60s CV. I would say the MIM Fender was a slightly better instrument after I filed the frets down.
If you can't find a CV P, I would recommend a MIM P. I really enjoy mine and you can easily find a used one for roughly the same price as the Squier line.
Beat to all hell and 5 years old...and still asking MSRP. But it's the same kind of thing you're looking for.

Check out the Fender MIM classic 50s p bass. IMO one of the best p basses available at any price.
I would second this, but considering the price range of the Squier, you can't go wrong with a MIM Standard.
Sotry but why buying so many times the same instrument ? If you are looking for something more maybe it's time to change brand ?

That's a great point. I've played the Freeman basses as well and that pickup really does have a great vintage vibe to it. Very understated top end which I like. I too have wondered about the specs on that pickup, as most of Fender's P pickups don't sound like that ; I find that a lot of them have more treble and top end than I care for.
Nope. I just keep coming back to what I like. Some weighed less than others. Some were in better condition than others.
I finally found one that isn't too heavy, and in great condition . I also prefer the Fiesta Red over Sonic blue.
In effect fiesta red is very beautiful ...
