Help me locate a CV 60's Precision

Yes it is. It's one of those colors that had to grow on me. Now if the CV60's was Daphne Blue, I would prefer that.

It's not only the tone but the playability of the neck profile that keeps drawing me back to these. It's very different and not found on a lot of Pbasses. For my smaller female hands it's a perfect fit.

It is a great bass, I have and love mine.

However, you have options.

Wait patiently for one to pop up from time to time. I have seen them for $250 and I have seen them for $650.

Otherwise, I would just find a nice cv 70s, Matt freeman if you can find one or a MIM. Play a couple you will find one you like and then mod if you wish.

I played one of those race red squier affinity PJ basses, looks sort of similar to my fiesta red CV 60 P. It was pretty darn nice.

Having owned both Fender MIM and Squier CVs'...I highly recommend the CVs. Some of the best playing instruments I've laid hands on in years. It is also possible to construct one from parts(like the one in my avatar) for a decent price. Loaded body and neck cost about the same as new and bolt 'em together and GO! Best of luck~

I've got an off white Matt Feeman and it's one of the nicest PBs I've ever owned. And I've owned a few over the years. It easily holds its own against any of my full blooded Fenders. Definitely one of the best necks I ever played.

And yes, it's more aggressive than the standard CV 60s due to a pickup Squier calls unique to the model. It was a little too aggressive for what I wanted it for, so I installed an Aguilar AG-40P in it. But I kept the original pups just in case I ever want to put it back to its original spec.

If you can't find a CV 60 don't shy away from a Matt Freeman. Highly recommended.

As someone who owns 7 Precisions, I can tell you the Squier CV 60's P that you seek is a fine instrument. I was lucky to find a used Matt Freeman like new in white and black with maple FB used for $220. It sets up and plays wonderful. I was not in love with the stock pickup so I replaced it with a Fender Original '62. Now its perfect. If you are able to find the '60s CV that you have your sights on, then snap it up quickly. You wont be disappointed. Alternately if you run across the Matt Freeman model, do the same it is a pleasure to play, hear and own. Looks great too. Sorry I won't be giving mine up anytime soon.

Road Worns are great. I would say they are equal if not better . The thicker neck profile on the roadworn precisions makes them a no go for me. I also prefer no relic job.

I've owned 3 CV60s in the past. I currently own a Matt Freeman, a Roadworn, and an AVRI. The RW is much more vintage spec and a nicer overall instrument. It's closer to the AVRI than it is the Classic Vibe series.

It is closer to vintage specs than the CV. But that's a thicker neck. I also believe that the nut width is wider and they only come with maple boards on the P basses. But I could be wrong .

Correct...the RW P neck is both wider and thicker than the CV60s.

I scored this on Reverb last month, I happen to be browsing Reverb and came up on it, it was listed for 5 hours, I lucked out, it's all original except for the pickups and wiring were switched out with StewMac components and the bridge is Omega high mass, the original bridge was included, good luck you'll find one!! I literally watched 3 others sell on there around the same time a Blue one too...

RW P been my dream bass previously, but after i play it at GC side by side with my CV60P, I found the neck profile of RWP is uncomfortable with my small hand. Otherwise, RWP is absolutely a great stuff .

I found some body suggest a MIM STD P , but to me , not just the neck feel is better comfort on CV60P , the guitar-like Vintage fret is another points to let me press the fret easy and comfort.
The MIM STD P just in pair on the price range with CV P, but not get in term of same feel in hand and tone.
I have Ti JF344 with my CV60P currently, this combination let me play better enjoy than before.

Neck is thicker. Pickup is hotter.
