I have a parchment guard on this parts P… Considering picking up another guard. Would you go with parchment or swap? Looking for some inspiration. Bass is British racing green.

Help me pick the pickguard for this P bass! (Poll)

I added an anodized gold pg to my sherwood green jazz bass, and I think it looks terrific.
The parchment looks great, but I'd go something a little closer to cream.
I would either leave it as is or get a mint guard for a green on green look. I love that finish either way!
In order to have this bass done right you have to get John Frankenheimer all over it.
Pick guard with a black and white checkered flag. “Grand Prix” racing stripes and a bubble gum ball.
A four position pickup switch in an “H” pattern and the autographs of Jackie Stewart, Sterling Moss and Bruce McLaren.
Bass has to be modified with a through the body bridge, hair pin release system with chrome flats.
Final touch would be a roll bar over the bridge. Black chrome of course.
Warning! No Tort anywhere for it impedes wind resistance.

Anything but modern tort for me but I'm partial to anodized gold.

If you have to have a pickguard, then black is the only choice.
The real reason tort wouldn't be used on a race car (going with the British racing green theme) is that it's highly flammable. I'd say either a white guard, with your "car's" number on it, or black.

It's not an option but I feel like a white pearloid would be a good fit for it. Otherwise, I'd leave it as is, possibly go with black.
