HELP ME!!! Rat Fur Removal Advice Needed

I hate rat fur (I have cats). Good luck with that. My personal solution was to sell (if I could) or throw away (if I couldn't sell it) anything with rat fur and never ever buy anything with it ever again. It was not cost effective but it worked.

Huh, can you wait another 5-10 years for the existing glue to dry out more? :eyebrow::eyebrow::eyebrow::eyebrow::eyebrow::eyebrow:
I had no problem pulling the rat fur off two bass heads recently, both were ~20 years old and they probably used totally different glue, which had totally dryed out on it's own.

When you recover, I highly recommend Duratex.

I'm in the same boat right now- I've got a '92 SWR Goliath II that I'm rehab'ing. The fur came off easily enough, but the glue residue is resisting. I was going to give it a hit with some Goo Gone today to see if that helps.
That stuff is oily, it might resist glue after it soaks into the wood. Acetone is best. Just work outside. Get a gallon at the hardware/DIY store. You don't know what's in the glue, so you don't want to huff the fumes. Keep it away from plastics too, many with melt from acetone. I would also be concerned with any solvent soaking into the glue layers of the plywood, so a little at a time.

I wonder how much it would cost to have a replica cabinet made?
Can a knowledgeable audio-cab maker, make a cabinet just by looking and measuring?
Can the material be replicated for the proper density? (Does it really matter??)

If the price were right, I would love to duplicate my markbass cmd 102p cab, and tolex it!!!

A coating of wood filler. Caught up a lot of the hairs and was able to sand them away easier.
