Help Munjibunga prove his point about short scales!!!

I think A,C,E are the shorts. That being said I liked the sound of those the best, but this coming from a guy who uses flats on a P (I don't like the sound of a Jazz with rounds). I like some thump in my sound and I think shorts thump really well (can anyone say McCartney?). I'm hoping to get a mustang soon.

I'm guessing A and C are short scales w/ D and E being questionable. B sounds like a good ole 34" jazz to me though.

And, I agree that C sounds P bass-ish to my ears.

Oh, and I used my laptop speakers... so my observations are only as crappy as my speakers LOL.

I'll say that B & D sounded best to me... also would vote for those as long scale. Hard to say which are short scale. If I were pushed, I'd say C & E are shortscale and A just has dead strings. Personally I'd only be happy with the sound from B & D. Eventually, as we all know, what makes the player and listener happiest should be the final determination, so I'm eagerly awaiting the unveiling of the shortscales and the mustang.

I realized that bass C had D'Addarios on and not DRs. Duh, should have noticed the difference colors at the end of the strings. I restrung bass C with DRs to see if it would give any difference. Not much. Perhaps a little more brightness at the top. Please see OP. Sorry for the oops.

B wins in the tone dept. for sure, and it looks like I'm not the only one who thinks so. D is second. A, C and E sound a bit flubby to me so I'd say they're short-scales.
