100%, and very good basses. Only things missing are the factory black tuners. Enjoy!

You are a lucky guy ... I’d buy it back from you for 120£ .. ehm ..Hi everyone my name is tony, am from the uk!!.. only just joined this site and wondered if anyone can help me?
i been thinking of getting a bass for my little project home studio and was saving sum cash for a squire precision...anyways on sunday i went to a car boot sale and on a stall i saw what was a bass without strings on it, the lady said it needed repair has the wires were hanging out! i been playing guitar for a few yrs and recognize the name fender the lady wanted £60 for it but let me have it for 45 when she saw how eager i was! i got it home and ordered sum strings which i put on then plugged it in ands its working all pickups and tone control! and stays in tune now it sounds quite good too me but i dont have a bass amp so i put it through my line 6 interface and its working good! do you guys think this is a real fender when i look at jazz basses they have a different body shape so i cant be sure and can i get the proper machine heads that fit and a back cover for the electrics? thnx in advance tony
do you know were i could purchase these please ?100%, and very good basses. Only things missing are the factory black tuners. Enjoy!
This series all had P-shape with J/P pup config ...Serial number indicates '84-'87, not sure if thats the original body as its a Precision shape, people like to put jazz necks on P bodies. Regardless its a hell of a score for what you paid for it. Enjoy!
thnx anyway fella will research theseMaybe someone will confirm but I'm tempted to think the original tuners would be the same hole spacing as the stardard fender tuners from the 70s through the eighties to whenever they changed to that tuner with no screws on the back... I'm sure someone that actually know what they're talking about will chime in...

People on here say its the norm of this model as they also own one!Looks legit, only somebody obviously replaced the originally black tuning-pegs ...
The model-naming is kinda odd for the shape is Precision Bass style; get a custom made backside cover.

That's what I believe to be an original DUFF MCKAGAN PRECISION BASS....
Not the re-issue that Fender is making in the custom shop....but you got a real one...
Duff from Guns-n-Roses used the Japan ones from the 80's...
So you have a real cool bass...
