Yes, and the ”wrong” holes will be covered by the correct tuners.

thnx bro!!Yes, and the ”wrong” holes will be covered by the correct tuners.
i just want it too look a bit better tuner wise! Its full of dents and chips but i dont mind that, but the tuners some heads are loose and rattle!.. I dont play it through my guitar amp.. i play it through my line 6 audio interface too record! On too my computer! Thnx for the infoIf the current tuners are doing their job properly there is no real need to replace them unless you want it to look as stock as possible. Might need different knobs then as well.
You could make a template for the cavity cover from something like a cereal box and cut out a new one from black pickguard material or something of appropriate thickness.
As others have mentioned, using that tuner money towards a proper bass amp is a good course of action given how careful you’ll have to be with the volume through a guitar amp.
This is a different topic... but playing through an amp, even if it’s at bedroom levels, is quite different to playing through an electronic device. The amp will mercilessly lay bare any technique issues and snaps, crackles, pops and string noise from your technique. Well, why would you possibly want that?. Well it would actually pay dividends by making you a better player, and you wouldn’t get the shock of your life if you wanted to play out with some friends.i just want it too look a bit better tuner wise! i been thinking of getting a bass for my little project home studio and was saving sum cash for a squire precision...anyways on sunday i went to a car boot sale and on a stall i saw what was a bass without strings on it, the lady said it needed repair has the wires were hanging out! i been playing guitar for a few yrs and recognize the name fender the lady wanted £60 for it but let me have it for 45 when she saw how eager i was! i got it home and ordered sum strings which i put on then plugged it in ands its working all pickups and tone control! and stays in tune now it sounds quite good too me but i dont have a bass amp so i put it through my line 6 interface and its working good! do you guys think this is a real fender when i look at jazz basses they have a different body shape so i cant be sure and can i get the proper machine heads that fit and a back cover for the electrics? thnx in advance tony
